AIM™ Dx

Authority Diagnostic

Score the AI across the 11 AIM™ authority dimensions, then calculate the AIM™ Autonomy Index. AAI is a comparison index, not deployment permission.

AIM™ Dx workflow

How to Use the Authority Diagnostic

  1. 1Describe the agentName the agent, the accountable human owner, and the authorized purpose. The purpose is not decoration: Rx reads it to decide what counts as consequential for this agent.
  2. 2Start from a baseline, if one fitsThe role baselines are a starting position for a known agent shape, not an answer. Every score still has to be changed to what this agent actually holds.
  3. 3Score the eleven dimensions on actual authorityScore what the agent can really cause today — not what the policy says, and not what it was approved for. A capability that exists is authority whether or not anyone intended it.
  4. 4CalculateThe eleven scores are posted and the server computes the AAI. Nothing here can assert an index; that is why the number in the record can be trusted.
  5. 5Read the band, not just the numberThe AAI is a comparison index, not deployment permission and not a safety grade. The band names what kind of attention the profile needs.
  6. 6Continue to AIM™ RxRx explains what is driving the exposure and prescribes the specific authority to change. Implement the change, then score the agent here again.

Core principle: Controls may reduce residual exposure. They do not erase the authority the agent actually possesses — so a lower AAI has to come from a real reduction in authority, reach, velocity, consequence or human-control deficit, scored again here.

AIM™ Command Center

Help & formula guide

Plain-English explanations, available from anywhere in the portal.

AIM™ separates intelligence from authority. The model may reason broadly, while the organization deliberately limits what it may cause.

AIM™ Dx — diagnose

Record the agent's actual authority across eleven dimensions. Dx produces the AAI and identifies where authority is concentrated. The AAI is a comparison index, not deployment permission.

AIM™ Rx — prescribe

Explain what the Dx profile means for management, identify the strongest exposure drivers, and prescribe concrete changes to authority, gates, privileges, velocity, scale, reversibility and human control.

AIM™ Academy — qualify

Learn the framework, demonstrate competency, and practise command decisions under changing scenarios.

Certification — certify

Demonstrate knowledge and practical command competency through earned module badges, simulator work, the exam, a practical Dx/Rx and the Commander Check Ride.
